Centering Tip #2 – Breath Work

Throughout August, I will be sharing tips and techniques I use to help me center during the day and feel better. They are things you can do in about 5 minutes or less!

 

This is one of the simplest ways to center. You can feel it in as little as three breaths!

Close your eyes and focus on your breathing.

Inhale though your nose, slowly bringing the breath all the way down to your diaphragm.

Hold your breath there for 1-2 seconds before slowly exhaling.

Repeat as many times as you like.

 

Feel the difference? This gets you in the moment, right here, right now by focusing on your breath. It also slows down your body and your mind, quieting you on all levels. And in that quiet you can center (or recenter)!
