Throughout August, I’ll be sharing tips and techniques I use to help me center and feel better in about 5 minutes or less!
The bubble of light is something I do every day. It is an energetic boundary I create to more easily hold my own in the world and not feel overwhelmed by all the energy around me. It’s then easier for me to stay centered.
Being that everything is made of energy, that means there is a lot of energy around you all the time. It can be a person, animal, place or object’s energy. It can also be nonphysical things like emotions, beliefs, even words. Because you are also energy, you are always interacting with that other energy, whether you are aware of it or not. I don’t believe that we are meant to interact with all the energy around us. The bubble of light is a tool that acts as a shield. You set the intention for what energy it does and doesn’t allow though for you to interact with.
It’s important when you make the bubble of light to create it, then set the intention or purpose for it. This is how I create my bubble of light:
I close my eyes and visualize a bubble of light around me, 360°.
I then say,
“I create this bubble of light around me, at the perfect settings for me, allowing only that which is for my highest and greatest good to come through.”
That’s it, it’s that simple. If you are sensitive to energy, like an empath or psychically open, this can be a game changer for you when you go out or interact with others!
One thing I always tell people is that what I teach is from my perspective, what is true for me. I sometimes visualize the bubble, sometimes I just feel it there. However it comes through for you, go with it. There is no wrong way. Also, if the bubble feels good to you the way I create it, go with that. If it feels a little off, then tweak it until it feels right for you. And if it’s not resonating with you at all, pitch it and find something that does feel right for you. I promise, I won’t be offended! And don’t be shy about playing with the bubble – the shape of it, the color of it, the intention of it, etc.
I do a bubble of light every day when I leave my house for the first time that day. I also created a bubble around my house. You can make one around your room, office space, car, etc.
Setting an intention for the bubble for the highest and greatest good doesn’t necessarily mean all rainbows and unicorns. I’ve had clients say their bubble isn’t working because they had a prickly interaction with someone or a “bad” experience. It’s not that the bubble wasn’t working. Sometimes our greatest lessons happen with that pain in the butt person or difficult experience. You don’t want to keep out the energy that is going to help you grow and evolve!
My bubble has changed over time. When I first started making it, I was holding onto a lot of fear, so it was more like armor. But I quickly felt isolated in it, so I altered it. As I understand my power more, my bubble continues to morph. Which leads me to a little a-ha moment I had. One day as I was making my bubble, I heard in my head “one day you won’t need this anymore”. In an instant I understood that when I fully own my power, I won’t feel like I have to shield myself from anything because I know nothing is greater, bigger or more powerful than me. Until then, my guides said it’s ok to make the bubble. There’s no need to make things more difficult for myself. It’s like saying no to a life jacket when you’re don’t know how to swim or aren’t a strong swimmer. Use the life jacket until you can hold your own in the water. So my bubble will continue to morph, becoming less and less until I no longer feel I need it.
