I hope you enjoyed the centering tips throughout August! Given all that’s going on in our lives, I wanted to share simple things you can do to get a handle within yourself, to feel more in control. When your day gets hectic or life seems wack-a-doodle, it’s easy to slip into that rushed, chaotic energy and forget. Forget that you are powerful, that you have control over your thoughts and what’s going on in your head. Centering allows you to feel your spiritual Wheaties and wow, it feels good! If you missed any tips or want to revisit them, click here to find them on my blog.
I find myself re-centering more the closer we get to the election. I’ve deliberately not talked about politics in my work because of the chaotic energy around it. My purpose is to help see how we are all connected, how we are all one. Politics lately seems to have the opposite effect. So no politics here, but I think it’s important to talk about navigating through this election, or any intense or trying time, while stay heart-centered, coming from a place of love.
Because what I’m being shown in my mediations is that we are at a pivotal point in time. The energy is here to help us make changes that will uplift us all, that can have positive impacts on each one of us, our planet and life in general. The way things are going now, there are actually parallels with the energy during the rise of the Nazis. I know, it chilled me too to get that info. But this is our wake-up call. We have a choice, to keep accepting the status-quo or to change it. And I know that’s scary for some people, but when you look around at our world, don’t you wonder if we could be doing better? If it could be better than this? Because it can!
As we get closer to election day, you know how this goes. The mud-slinging and misinformation runs rampant. There’s so much info, but it’s hard to know what’s the truth, what’s lies and what’s propaganda paid for by whom. Staying centered is going to become more important. It’s going to keep you from getting wrapped up in the drama and help you stay balanced emotionally. That in turn will help you hear your inner guidance more clearly. It will also help you in feeling energy.
One of the great things about energy is that it doesn’t lie. You can’t disguise it or fake it. People ask me, when I work with Spirit, how do I know they are of the light and not something else disguising themselves, as let’s say an angel. It’s their energy. Any being of the light is love and that is a high vibration. When you feel it, it’s the equivalent of a warm, fuzzy blanket. You feel loved and safe, your physical body responds to it by relaxing and feeling at ease. In contrast, the vibration of beings not of the light feels heavy and draining, you may feel a tightness in your stomach or your body feels uneasy. The same goes with people. If they are heart- and love-centered, you can feel that uplifting energy. If they’re not, then they’re operating from a place of fear and it will feel like it’s pulling you down.
What I keep getting from Spirit is to share this idea of feeling the energy – of the candidates, of the news you’re getting, the things you’re reading, the conversations you’re having, etc. For example, when a candidate is talking, don’t listen to the words, because we all know people can tell lies. Instead, close your eyes and let their energy sort of wash over you. How does it feel to you? How is your body responding to it? Is the energy lifting you up or pulling you down? Does it feel expansive or constrictive? You can feel the energy of anything in this way to help you figure out if it’s based in love or fear.
If we’re going to make positive changes, we need people to be coming from a place of love. Not just our leaders and people in government, but also as many people as possible.
As rocky as this year has been, it’s brought us to this point, an opportunity to make some amazing change! It’s right in front of us. I know I’m not the only one ready for something better. For more love and acceptance and unity and balance and vitality. To see our families, communities, countries and world thriving. That’s not going to happen if we try to move forward in fear, using fear. It. Has. To. Be. Love.
